Well, last month I took a break from my job and used my vacation days to do a big commissioned painting. I had a lot of fun (will add the photos later) and maybe the experience is worth repeating. So, I'm officially available for commissions again - but only of a certain kind.
First of all, they need to be in my "artistic" style (like the examples below). Just because it's the only kind of work I cannot really get bored with. OR pencil portraits like those you can see in my fanart folders.
Then, you will get the original painting/drawing/whatever (if you want me to paint it on, let's say, a ceramic dish, or a T-shirt, I can do that). So shipping fee can vary accordingly to weight and the country you're in. You can choose the base color if you want the painting to match your furniture (my big paintings can actually decorate a room pretty well). Of course, I will make a colored sketch before starting the serious work. Deadline should necessarily be very loose, because I'd work in my spare time (mostly on weekends).
Finally, I'd take only one at a time because I don't have time to commit on multiple projects.
Prices will depend mostly on medium and size.
-Pencils drawings on smooth paper (colored or b/w): size is 24x33 cm, price is € 65
-Watercolors/watecolor pencils: size can vary, price is more or less height+widthx1.8 (€ 80 for a 23x31 cm painting, € 140 for a 35x45 cm one)
-Acrylic paintings (on plywood or canvas board only). The standard price for a beginning artist is height+widthx2.
So, something like "Devil's Trill" (100x150 cm) would be € 500, "Turandot" (100x120 cm) would be € 440. I think it's a fair price for a work that keeps me busy for at least a full week. "The Electric Mermaid" is rather small, not that much bigger than A4 size, so a painting like that would cost more or less € 150.
Shipping is not included in these prices because, as I said, it depends a lot on weight of the item, but I will ask the probable amount before taking the commission. Honestly I don't know if there are size limitations too, must check at my PO. Anyway, a very big painting can be split into smaller boards, like the one I just finished (60x300 cm, it would never fit in my car! So I painted two 60x150 panels instead). If you're interested, just note me.
